I am delighted to write this message without hitting Indian Football website I will not start ma day. Indian FA should think and Enlarge I-league at least 16-18 teams and their should be a proper 2nd division which is also consist of 20 teams and we should have a pyramid structure so that quality team comes to top light football and there should be four regional zonal league (east zone) and State leagues... It will give pyramid structure state L to Zonal L to 2nd Division and clubs should be open in the name of city really it easy to create fan base.... If fan base is there automatically, everything will come Money Media Standard etc

The coverage of the first ileague is really fantastic. One gets the liberty of watching live telecasts as well as the recorded versions of the days play. Hats of to all those who are involved. Although i work abroad, i had the opportunity of watching two matches of dempo while i was on holidays in goa. The atmosphere is jubilant specially when dempo and churchill play. Keep up the good work Armando and definitely with this huge lead in dempos kitty, they should claim the ileague. At the same time i should not forget indianfootball.com for giving all the info. on the website. KUDOS to everyone.

I do not agree with one of your readers that there are more clubs from Goa , they are there due to merit, in the second division the other teams do not perform well , and so they do not get promoted. It was a wise decision of Armando Colacco not to recruit any extra foreigner but to give place to a local boy, and he demonstrated that when he brought in Clifton Gonsalves for Cheddi , who scored a goal against Viva, today's game too he substituted Abranches for Marins and he too scored, so the other clubs should take his example , e.g. Thats Mohun Bagan and E.Bengal who rely too much on foreigners that's they are not doing well.

Thanks a lot for such a great coverage. We, the fans really never thought about such a idea. You have done its really great & thanks once again.

But if possible please be a little bit more sincere about the statistics (ex:- after 8th round there is mistake in the point table, which made the table quite meaningless). Till iys a great endeover.

But please kindly organize something like 'LIVE SCORES' or 'UPDATED NEWS' in each 5 minutes. Something like updated score in cricket (www.cricinfo.com). If you you kindly arrange such a thing (updated news of live match after every 5 minutes), we can be some tension free during our favourite clubs.

Hope you will be kind enough to give some attention to my thought & suggesion.

well as far as i think the new I-League is nothing but the old wine in a new bottle .. just changing the name wont help our football level .. wat i think is that v need a top level football season at the the netional level .. i really dream that one day our football structure will be like EPL .. without any doubt the no. of team in the I-League should be upto 16 .. and also there should be a 2nd division comprising of 16 teams .. these 32 team should not take part in any state level tourbaments .. in one season there has to be just 3 tounaments .. 1. I-League ( like EPL ).. 1st and 2nd division .. Federation Cup ( like FA Cup ) and Durand Cup ( like Carling Cup ) .. Federation Cup and Durand Cup should be composed of these 32 teams in the 1st and 2nd division of I-League and be played on hame and away basis .. also these two knockout tournaments should be played round the yr along with I-League .. in such way a team can play a max of 50 matches and a min of 34 matches .. also there will be a 3rd division in which the champions of the regional leagues will take part to get to the main stream that is the 2nd division .. also AIFF should allow the transfer of players of the SAF countries without limitation .. they should not be counted under foreign players quota .. foreign quota should be 3 .. this will increase the compittion among the players and rise the standard .. also teams need solid reserves to play whole yr ..these things will certainly increase the standard of I-League as well as our football ..

Hi guys. Welcome to the world of professional football. I'm very glad to see India join the fold. It's a little disappointing to still see corporations rather than independent football clubs being represented, though I know we can't all have our cake and eat it too.

Greater numbers of participating teams would be nice. I feel your pain; being from Australia, we suffer with only eight representative teams in our tournament (though there is movement to include another two in the coming year).

Some suggestions for a more internationally user-friendly portal are:
• A simple map of India with the location of each representative team
• More detailed information regarding clubs, venues, etc
• Interactive options like viewer polls, forums, etc

I am very impressed with how the league is improving. I eagerly await participation in the ACL by an Indian (better Punjabi) team. A clash with Sydney FC really entices.

Good luck all.

Its really great to see that India is towards other Soccer Power houses of the World. What a start of the new era of Indian Football. But the number of team is required to be increased to make it more healthy competitive and regional base teams to be included to spread the love of football all over India. Thanks to AIFF as it is BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.

So far, Viva Kerala has been fantastic in bringing crowd to the stadiums, something which Mohammedan Sporting Club used to do. I think that Salgaocar and Sporting Club de Goa will be relegated. We surely need a club from North East in the league which will bring great crowd in the stadiums. It is sad to see so many goa clubs playing in empty stadiums. Cooperage Stadium in Bombay is a disaster, very poor example of football and if we have such stadium in a city of 16 million people, it explains why India will never even be a asian football power in next 100 years.

The performance of kolkatans club is not started well in i-league this year. To keep Indian football towords world level it is important to have a good performance by the kolkata club. Goa clubs are doing well this time bcoz they does not have much pressere as kolkata clubs. What we require to do is:

1. More attention has to be given in West Bengal, Goa, Kerala and Punjub becoz football is popular there.
2. Apart from the above Manipur and entire northeast has to given more attention.
3. Try to make it popular in other part of India.
4. Bring financially sound and educated people into football. Most international successful players are coming from that background.
5. Bring corporate business house. This can be done by implementing govt policies like tax exemption etc.
6. Govt. level sing up with leading players like cricket.
7. More dedicated football ground in all over the country. Not stadium.

I think I-League has got off to a great start. I think it will definitely take Indian football to the next level, where Indian clubs can participate in the AFC Champions League. The coverage is absolutely brilliant too. The site "IndianFootball.Com" is fantastic.

It's great to see such a wonderful site which will equip us with the latest events of indian football. Cricket has over-shadowed football in india for a last decade. This site will genuinely help football lovers to go through current events and reignite the dormant passions. Although venue and date is mentioned in fixture but the time of scheduled event is not mentioned. It would be really great if u kindly add the timings of each match also.

It is a good news to hear that the I-league has been started in India. I congratulate to the AIFF for putting up a brave face to bring in the professional League set up in India. I hope this programme will continue for ever and India will be able to match with Brazil on the playing field.

As the idea to make Indian football professional is a great one. There needs to more changes to be added to the in this professional setup.

1. Let us increase our league from 10 teams to a 16 – 18 teams format. This will increase the competition among the teams and there will be a large number of pool of players to be selected for the Indian team.

2. The league should always be played on weekends i.e Saturday and Sunday, like it is played in other European leagues. If it is a16 team format than it will require 30 weeks to complete the league. In a year there are 52 weeks out of which 30 weeks can be used for the completion of the league. And the rest for other international and local tournaments to played.

3. The league should be run on the lines of English Premier League as it runs from Aug to May with 4 major competations the EPL, FA cup, League Cup and European club competations plus the international fixtures are arranged accordingly.

4. The transfer fees should also be practiced in India as football clubs should be managed as a company which will earn profit through various ways which it can

Only this will help us to grow as a football nation.

Please consider my suggestion for the good of Indian Football and to match with Brazil one day
