Michael JAJO
TONCHUIPAM
Correspondent (New Delhi)
First of all I would like to congratulate IndianFootball.Com (IFC)
for completing 10 years. It’s a privilege and a delight to
work for the (un)official website of Indian football.
My journey with IndianFootball.Com started in 2002 back in Manipur
when I was googling articles regarding Indian football. It has been
like my daily dose of vitamin as I looked up on it every single
day for the latest news and development on Indian football.
The people from the place where I hail from are crazy about football
and I was one of them. Although I was never a good footballer the
passion, the commitment and the excitement like any other football
fan was always there within me. The popularity of European football
had an effect on me as I was a keen follower of it and I thought
why I can’t do something on my own to put Indian football
to the world map.
IndianFootball.Com gave me a medium to do so and it has been a
wonderful journey so far. After exchanging some e-mails with Chris
and Arunava I was appointed as a Delhi correspondent, with a few
hiccups in the beginning. I would like to thank Chris and Arunava
once again for giving me an opportunity to work within the organisation
and I believe it will go a long way in bringing awareness to the
people of this country and the face of Indian football in the world
map. |
