Note-1: "Player of Indian Origin" Harpal Singh has been given a new three year contract by English Premier League club Leeds United. As the Leeds United website reports:
The Bradford born youngster is yet to make his full United debut, but has been impressive in the reserves this season, particularly after returning from a loan spell at Bury late last year. The big step now is for Singh to push his claims for a regular place in the Leeds first team squad, but today he told the United's official website he was delighted to be extending his Elland Road career.
"It's now been sorted out and I've been offered a new three year deal which I'm delighted with," said Harpal. "It's a massive boost for me because my contract was up at the end of the season but I've done enough to prove to the club that I'm worth another contract and a chance to prove myself next season. "My aim now is to do well for the reserves during the rest of this season, stay injury free and then try to stake my claim in the next pre-season. "My loan spell at Bury was probably the key as I was playing regular first team football and that helped me physically and was a boost to my confidence. "I've also had a taste of the first team as I've been involved a few times since I came back which has been brilliant. "This is a big breakthrough for me and hopefully I can move on from here now."
