Punjab State 2nd Division League 2006/07

PFA-Punjab State 2nd Division League 2006/07:

The third edition of the Punjab State 2nd Division League the Punjab FA has decided to hold the league in a four Phase format. From the Preliminary Qualifying Round in which three teams are taking part one team will qualify for the first Phase. The First Phase will be played on a home-and-away format in two groups of four teams each. The Second Phase will be played by the two top teams of each group in a single-leg basis at one venue which will be allotted to one of the qualified teams. The final third Phase of this league will be played in the next football season before the start of the Punjab State Super League which will be played by four team in which top two teams from the Second Phase and two teams being relegated from the 20th Punjab Super Football League will take part on single leg league basis, out of which the top two teams will qualify for next years Super League. While the first three Phases will be held in 2006, the final Phase was held in 2007, just ahead of the start of the Super League.
