Vishwas Gaonkar back for Sporting

Sporting Clube de Goa have sacked coach Roy Barreto and replaced him with Vishwas Gaonkar after the club finished only 13th amongst 14 teams ahead of the I-League break.
The club, who last season had been top of the league at this stage, have so far won none of their seven matches only gaining four points from four draws.
Vishwas Gaonkar returns to the Flaming Orange whom he had taken to the top of the I-League last season but was sacked in February this year after the team had lost the top of the table clash against Mohun Bagan. The main reason given was that the team wasn't playing good football.
But now the club management thinks that Vishwas Gaonkar would be the right man to take the club forward and avoid relegation.
During his playing days Vishwas Gaonkar was a defender for Sesa Goa, Vasco and Salgaocar before he coached at Sesa Goa and the Sesa Football Academy before joining Sporting Clube de Goa.
