Kyrgyzstan hold India to a goalless draw

The India U16 national team split points with Kyrgyzstan in a AFC U16 Championship qualifiers match played at Al Qatara Stadium, Al Ain on Thursday.
The Indian juniors have gained four points out of three matches and are still in contention for a spot in the finals.
Despite adapting an attacking approach right from the word go and outclassing Kyrgyzstan from the very first whistle, India failed to break the deadlock as the game ended on a neutral note.
India was the better side, but couldn’t capitalize on the chances that fell to their kitty. The boys deprived themselves to collect three points, which could have put the Colin Toal coached side in a better place in the qualifying race.
Lady luck was definitely not on the Indian side as they came close to find the back of net on several occasions, but had to satisfy themselves with one point at the end.
India will now take on Oman in their fourth encounter on October 10.
