The latest 'Rich List of British football' was released today by FourFourTwo with Indian business tycoon Lakshmi Mittal the richtest man in professional British football.
Mr. Mittal jumped into the top spot as a 20% owner of west London side Queens Park Rangers FC, who play in the second tier of English football, the Championship.
With his net worth at £18.4 billions (appro. Rs. 1,37 trillion - 1 followed by 12 zeros) Mr. Mittal moved past Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan from the Abu Dhabi royal family, who had been in the top spot last year.
Interesting to note is that many of the owners of English football clubs, not only in the Premier League, are foreign owned and many have recovered some of their losses from the financial downturn.
