East Bengal's quest for Asian recruit

In the quest for seeking and recruiting overseas players for the coming season, East Bengal team has zeroed on a Lebanese international player, Ramez Dayoub.
Dayoub plays for Safa Sporting Club, Beirut in the central defender position.
The quest for recruiting Asian players have never been so exciting until the AIFF recently allowed the I-League clubs to go for the 3+1 combination. This combination encourages to field atleast one footballer of Asian origin besides three foreigners from anywhere in the world.
25-year old Dayoub is playing with Safa SC since 2004. He has earlier played in India during the AFC Challenge Cup, 2010 World Cup qualifier, and AFC Cup matches.
East Bengal officials are tight-lipped with the entire proceedings. However, sources confirm that coach, Subhas Bhowmick is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to complete the necessary formalities besides looking for other foreigners and Players of Indian Origin.
