August 19: India registered a flattering 3-0 win over a scratchy Kyrgyzstan for its second win, while Kyrgyzstan had three players send of in the match.

India virtually ensured passage to Thailand:
August 23: Two great goals in a span of 10 minutes in the second half have virtually ensured India's passage to Thailand. In a match that had all the ingredients of a "needle clash" India downed Pakistan 2-0.

India trash Bhutan and make it to the final round to Thailand:
August 25: A dubious penalty award by referee Ramkrishna Ghosh did blemish India and Naseem Aktar's clean record. But otherwise the host had it easy enroute a comfortable 7-1 win over a listless Bhutan, with striker Nitin Pradhan scoring a hattrick. India qualify for the final stage of the 31st Asian Youth (U19) football championships, to be held in Thailand, with four wins from as many matches.
